1034 Summit: Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Convent

Application to re-roof using "terra cotta blend" Spanish tile roof:
Satellite image is from the South. The home at 1034 Summit was formerly the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Convent. The MNHS image above shows it as it appeared in 1948. The home's brick and stone exterior had been painted white in the intervening years, as the satellite image shows. The current owners have removed the paint and restored the facade to its original brown brick and white stone appearance. HPC minutes from the last several months reveal the extensive scale of the current renovations.
The current request is as follows:
8/23/2007 Agenda: "A. 1034 Summit Avenue, Hill Historic District, by Les Jones Roofing, for a building permit to install a “terra cotta blend” Spanish-tile roof on the house and future garage. File #07-322. (Barr, 266-9067)"
